No Sale Of JAMB Forms Yet – Official

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has urged the public to disregard the speculations that it had commenced the sales of its application documents for 2017 UTME by some group of persons.

The board’s head of media and information, Fabian Benjamin, debunked the speculations in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, on Sunday in Lagos.
According to the statement, the registrar of the examination body, Ishaq Oloyede, has expressed disappointment with the development and called on innocent Nigerians not to fall prey.

“The public is hereby notified that JAMB has not commenced the sales of its application documents as advertised by some unknown and desperate persons.
“They are to disregard any website or individuals claiming to be in possession of these documents and offering same for sales.

“We are putting finishing touches to innovation and changes to ease the challenges associated with the procedure of application for the 2017 all Computer-Based Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

“We are looking forward to announcing the commencement of the sales of these documents very soon,” the statement quoted the registrar as saying.

The statement advised the public to feel free to contact the board for clarification on its activities through its website or contact numbers whenever they were in doubt.
It noted that Mr. Oloyede had announced his willingness to open the board’s door to the public to make valuable contributions and also report any act against the board’s pedigree by either the staff or the board’s development partners.

“We must all be interested in what happens in JAMB, as it is too important to be ignored.
“Help us to watch over where our eyes cannot get to, hear where our ears fail and be our police where our presence is insufficient,” the statement said.

It added that the Registrar had restated the board’s determination to ensure that nobody was spared in sustaining and advancing the credibility of the board.
Meanwhile, the board has hailed the judgment of the National Industrial Court sustaining the sack of one of its former staff, Cletus Uloko, in 2015.

According to the statement, Mr. Uloko’s services were terminated following acts of misconduct contrary to civil service rule.
It said Mr. Uloko was sacked because he was wrongfully in procession of over 120 e-slip of candidates without authorisation and justification.

The statement explained that upon the development, Mr. Uloko was queried and on responding, his explanation was not satisfactory to the board.
It further said that the board then constituted a disciplinary committee which recommended that Mr. Uloko ran foul and breached all the extant civil service laws and therefore sacked him.

According to the statement, based on the termination of the appointment, Mr. Uloko approached the National Industrialist Court to seek for redress, compensation and reinstatement.

The statement explained that in a notification of termination of suit made available by the JAMB legal team to the board said: “We, by this letter, hereby notify the board that final judgment had been delivered on the matter on September 27’’.
The letter then noted that the court dismissed the claimant’s suit.

Funke Akindele’s Mother Kicks Against Her Marriage To JJC Skillz.

Funke Akindele and singer and producer, Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz wedded on the Thespian’s birthday which was Thursday in the UK with no family members in attendance.
Though a couple of the singer’s family members, including his daughter were said to have been there with only Funke’s sister standing in as family for her.
It is reported by Vanguard that Funke Akindele’s family and particularly her mother were strongly against her marriage to JJC, who, they believe has same profile as that of Funke’s first husband, Alhaji Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede.
Funke Akindele’s first husband, Alhaji Almaroof has several children from 3 – 4 women, just like her supposed current husband who is said to have three children from three women.
But the big question is, why the secrecy? Isn’t marriage a thing of joy to be celebrated openly? The answer may not be too far away to the contention that the Funke Akindele’s family are not in support of the marriage and the fact that no qualified family member had been around to properly give the actress away.

Drama As Two Pastors Bite And Mercilessly Beat Up Woman For Refusing To Join Their Church.

Chaos brewed outside the Bethsaida church, Dandora, after two pastors descended on a woman, beat her to a pulp and used their teeth to design her body while at it – her offence? She refused to join their church in Nairobi County of Kenya.
Nairobi News reports that the woman identified as Ms Christine Mueni, claimed that Pastors Timothy Migwi and Maxwell Omari, ganged up with her husband George Makori and ruthlessly attacked her outside Bethsaida Church, in Dandora on August 24.
Not only that, the woman alleged that the two pastors bit her on the stomach while the husband punched and kicked her. She revealed that they attacked her for refusing to join their church.
“When I said I didn’t want to join the church, my husband punched and kicked me while the pastors bit me,” Ms Mueni was quoted by NairobiNews.
Speaking on his part, the husband who has since been locked up with the two pastors at Kinyago Police post in Dandora, denied the claims and said his wife of seven years had stabbed him twice on the right arm.
“We have been having arguments. She threatened to kill me on Wednesday morning and went ahead to stab me,” said Makori.
Mr Samuel Mbatia, a bishop at Bethsaida church who is also the couple’s landlord, said that he sent the two pastors to help Mr Makori who had raised an alarm that he had been attacked by the wife, The Kenyans reported.
“I sent them to help him because he said he was dying. The pastors took him to hospital,” Bishop Mbatia said.
The bishop said he was surprised after the wife accused the pastors of biting her.
